Check Out Make way for ducklings

Make way for ducklings Review

I haven't seen this book in a hard cover edition in years! Love it! I bought it as a gift for a 1 year old and I am glad I bought more than 1 copy. (Maybe I will be a grandma some day). This story and also "Blueberries for Sal" are among my own childhood favorites. Now they remind me of a gentler story time. It has no "whiz bang" hyper speed of so many of today's children's stories. I would recommend this lovely book to anyone who wants a quality book that can be read repeatedly to many children.

Make way for ducklings Overview

Mr. and Mrs. Mallard search throughout the busy city of Boston for the perfect place to raise their ducklings.

Make way for ducklings Specifications

It's not easy for duck parents to find a safe place to bring up their ducklings, but during a rest stop in Boston's Public Garden, Mr. and Mrs. Mallard think they just might have found the perfect spot--no foxes or turtles in sight, plenty of peanuts from pleasant passers-by, and the benevolent instincts of a kindly police officer to boot. Young readers will love the mother duck's proud, loving protection of her wee webbed ones, and those with fond memories of Boston will enjoy familiar locales, from Beacon Hill to Louisburg Square, and over the Charles River--often from a duck's-eye view. Robert McCloskey, creator of Blueberries for Sal, never fails to elicit happy story-time giggles from youngsters, and his soft, brown-toned, Caldecott-winning illustrations make this gentle world come alive. Good book for young children. - Arlene Nickels -
This is a wonderful book for young children. It was my grandsons' most favorite. We read it to them over and over until they were able to read it themselves. It is also ageless.

eh..not impressed with condition - Brittney N. Bokman - ny, ny
it seems that the company i bought this from has a different idea of what "good" condition is than i do. the picture of the book you see is not the book i got in the mail. the book i got had no pic on the front and looked like it was from 1950. crayon color on the inside. i will not use this book distributor again.

Great Children's book - R. Hannon - cambridge, ma
We have bought numerous copies of this timeless story. Our two boys loved reading the book with us at bedtime.
