Go Dog Go Review
Wacky and fun, this book takes one of America's favorite pet animals: dogs, and presents them in an adventure that children will love (I certainly did, I read it at least 50 times!).
In this story we follow a boy dog who is riding around. He runs into a lady dog who keeps asking him if he likes her hat. The hats and the boy dog's blunt answers are hilarious.
Thru out the story we also see many other types of dogs and their daily multiple activities. They all do crazy things like having a party on top of a tree, and jumping out of bed at top speed when the sun comes up.
This book is great for beginners. The color illustration really bring to life P.D. Eastman's classic tale.

Go Dog Go Specifications
Life lessons? Romance? Literary instruction? Go, Dog. Go! offers all this and more, wrapped up in one simply worded, warmly hued package. Using single-syllable words in rhythmic repetition, and introducing colors and prepositions, this Seuss-styled classic has been an early favorite of children since 1961. For those looking for deeper meaning in a beginning reader book, here you'll find nothing less than a microcosm of life. Green dogs, yellow dogs, big dogs, little dogs. Dogs who prefer cars, dogs who favor skis. All represent the diversity a child will find in the world. And the slow-to-bud romance between the cheerfully oblivious yellow dog and the mincing pink poodle explains more succinctly than most self-help books what goes on in many grown-up relationships. Nonetheless, Eastman takes the concept of "primary" to heart, with his simple silly phrases and solidly colored illustrations. Not only will this book inspire peals of laughter in kids, it will also help them make the magical connection between those mysterious black squiggles on the page, and the words they hear and speak. (Ages 4 to 8)

This was my favorite book as a child and now my daughter can enjoy it as well. It is a wonderful and fun beginner book to read.
My favorite book - GeisL - Michigan, USA
This was my favorite book as a child, and I've given it to several children as gifts. Like classic Seuss, it brings a fun element to basic words. The "No, I do not like your hat," scenes also teach children (at least it taught me) that one can politely say he or she doesn't like something. Please note that this is the original book with all of the pages. The small hardboard book leaves out about half of the book.
